14:10 vs 16:8 vs 18:6
The first number is fasting hours, the second is eating hours. We place the eating window so the last meal sits a set number of hours before bed, then count backward. Custom hours are fine.
Fasting ≠ calorie target
You can overeat inside an 8-hour window. Calories stay on the TDEE calculator and deficit calculator.
Who should not fast
Pregnancy, underweight, eating-disorder history, some medications, and anyone a clinician has told not to skip meals. If that is you, ignore this planner.
Please read this first
Do not use fasting windows if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, underweight, have a history of disordered eating, or take glucose-lowering medication unless a clinician has agreed. This planner does not set calories.
Not medical advice
This tool is for education and planning. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace care from a qualified professional.
